I requested this book when DS was 5. He is now 7, but has a 5 year old brother, so we gave it to the youngest for Christmas. I pulled it out one evening to read to the 5 yo. The 7 and 9yo's stopped what they were doing and snuggled up to join us. All THREE children kept asking for "just one more chapter?" The next morning I caught the 9 year old hiding in a corner, reading it to herself! Appeals to all ages, clearly!
