This second in the Queen Bee series held my interest far more than the first book: "Buzz off". The story line here is far more developed, and smoother reading. I found myself going from chapter to chapter, where as in the first book, I was forcing myself to keep going. Here, the tentive romance of Story Fisher and Hunter is flowing just right, her store and the employees, including her cousin is interesting, as is the new relationship with Hunter's dog Ben. Dogs having once been a trauma for Hunter. The plot has a double murder, and a crazed town cop, some scary woods, a town gossip, and a jumping local bar. Good reading, if you can get through the first installment: "Buzz off".
As usual, Hannah turns in a great mystery with lots of great dialog, some laughs and a delightful sleuth! Along with Norm's little dog Dinky and sexy Det. Hunter's police dog Ben, Story Fischer has her work cut out for her in trying to solve a murder that takes her back to her high school days.

A good series - I enjoyed this one as much as the first. I did figure out parts of it, but was eager to find out if I was right or not. Just ordered the third title in this series!
Another good bee story with family and friends as in Bk 1.
