Miraculous? Indeed. Miraculous that Steel ekes 200 pages of book out of 50 pages of recycled plot. Quinn Thompson, a 61-year-old recent widower, has just bought the boat of his dreams—an 80-meter beauty capable of sailing around the world. Because that's all Quinn wants to do besides read his late wife Jane's old journals and poetry, which offer an outpouring of love and forgiveness for a man so obsessed with "building his empire" that he ignored his wife and family completely. Less forgiving is Quinn's daughter, Alex, who wants nothing to do with him. Sure that he is alone in the world, Quinn finds himself having regular Friday dinners with an unlikely San Francisco pair: smart but illiterate carpenter Jack Adams and lonely divorcée Maggie Hartman. Full of self-loathing, Quinn refuses to give in to his desire for Maggie; instead he decides to teach Jack to read. Readers follow the two through a 150-page rapturous description of the respect and admiration they have for each other, while Quinn attempts to forgive himself enough to allow himself to love Maggie

danielle Steel brings us miracles big and small. with a subtle hand and flawless touch, she has written a novel that soars withhope, and makes us laugh, cry and care. a story about three people who find and help heal each other. Fast but very good read
For Quinn Thompson, the storm of the century will bring down a barrier he has built around himself since his wife's death. For neighbor Maggie Dartman, it will spark friendship at a time when she needs it most. And for Jack Adams, a carpenter who repairs Quinn's and Maggie's homes, the storm brings an opportunity: to help two people and to be repaid with the greatest gift of all.
A unique friendship forged and something extraordinary begins to happen.... Maggie, still grieving a loss, slowly comes alive again - and Jack finally shares a painful secret he has hidden for years. But at the center of the friendship is Quinn. A man who has scaled the heights of business, Quinn is now adrift, waiting as builders finish a yacht he plans to sail around the world. Consumed by guilt over all he missed with his family, he is focused only on escaping to the sea. But as his friendship with Maggie begins to change, Quinn faces a choice - between a safe haven and an adventure of the heart. The choice he makes will affect other lives as powerfully as his own. And it will take him into a second terrifying storm that will bring him danger... or deliverance.

I just love Danielle Steel. She hits another homerun with the story of a widower and a sailboat. Along the way there is love, dissappointment, and lots of travel. A great book.
Wow! Ms. steele has done it again

Book makes you feel like miracles really can happen.
This book actually made me cry, but then I think Steels always do!
If you like Danielle Steele, you will love this book. It was one of my favorite and I hesitated to list it. It is about a widower, a divorced woman and a carpenter who brings all three together. It is about losing and rediscovering love through a bad storm, a wrecked house and a yacht being built. It is typical Danielle Storm and makes me cry every time I read it.
Wonderful Book!!! Read it in only two days.
This was an awesome book to read

This is a beautiful love story that is hard to put down.
This was a very good book to read. It is a fast reading book
This book is primarily about three people. Quinn Thompson is the primary person in this book. His wife died about a year previously. He lives in San Francisco and has had a very successful life. Around Christmas, a tremendous storm hits San Francisco. It damages alot of buildings. So, Quinn finally locates someone, Jack, to fix his house. He also meets his neighbor, Maggie. The three of them become great friends.
As time progresses, however, Maggie and Quinn begin a relationship, but Quinn has to leave eventually because he had another boat built.
The book does describe the lives of Jack, Maggie and Quinn and what transpires in their lives.

Ehh...pretty predictable. No big surprises. Not my favorite of her books.
Enjoyable read. Classic Steel book.
When is it time to open your heart to love again. This book takes you on a journey of healing, love and forgiveness.
AAHHHH....what a beautiful love story! I would recommend this book to anyone who gets so involved in your book that you feel that you are actually there with the characters.
As 3 lives come together, a unique friendship is forged, something extraordinary begins to happen. Great book.
Easy reading and enjoyable
Shorter book of Danielle Steed. It was a good concise book. I used to love her stuff and she's still the same. I have changed in my tastes...especially since Twilight...I love hte sci fi stuff more.
Danielle Steele brings such a positive into our lives with 'Miracle'. Her amazing style makes a dedicated Steel reader smile, cry, & think
I actually thought that is was one of her better books. It reminded me a lot of the Danielle Steel work of the past.
I really enjoyed reading this book.

Danielle Steel brings us miracles big and small -- the kind we are blessed with and those we give to others. With a subtle hand and a flawless touch, she has written a novel that soars with hope, and makes us laugh, cry, and care.

This was about a man that didn't pay much attention to his wife and children and then his son died in a boating accident and then his wife died. He blamed hisself but finally he met Maggie and fell in love but he left her because he was scared of failing her also.
