I think I could become hooked on this series...quick easy reading!
An quirky and humorous mystery set in the Florida panhandle with a stripper as the main character. I look forward to reading more in this series.

I wanted to like this book more than I did, but I'm still looking forward to reading the rest of the series as the premise and characters have a lot of promise.

This was a fun read - very similar to the Plum Series by Janet Evanovich. There was a crazy character that reminded me of Grandma Mazur and a friend that was somewhat like Lula and Sierra (the main character) was definitely Stephanie - with all the things that happened to go wrong with and around her. Very good book.
Very funny series.
The book cover states that fans of Janet Evanovich should love this book. I've read most of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, but I guess I didn't love her enough! Could not get into "Miracle Strip."

First in the Sierra Lavotini series, in which Sierra, an exotic dancer in a Florida club, seeks to help her friend Denise, a bartender at the same club. First Denise's dog is kidnapped, then they find a dead body in Denise's apartment and someone's shooting at Sierra and Denise as well. When Denise vanishes, the cops think she's taken off, but Sierra is worried that Denise's drug-lord ex husband has done away with her and sets out to find her on her own. An okay book, nothing special, and while it was interesting and with a few likable characters, it's not a series I'll rush to read more of.

This is about a stripper who's friend gets in trouble and she helps her get out of trouble. The stripper and the Detective of the story like each other but don't say anything. Lots of sexual tension between then. I thought this book was fun, fast and a great read.

A different and very fun twist on the kick-ass woman in peril, Sierra can and does take care of herself!

Ugh, not great. I unfortunately have two and three, so will see if they get better.

A disappointment. It just doesn't quite ring true. The characters do things that are not likely or believable, and I find myself not really liking Sierra herself. I had high hopes; they were dashed. It's harder than you would think to write a funny book that people will enjoy. Ms. Evanovich has the gift; too many imitators (like this one) do not.
