Reading this book was like taking a vacation to the Italian coast! The story takes place in a small Italian town. The author weaves together the histories of several people there---a priest, his niece and her daughters, a fix-it man, and a prodigal son returned. It's beautifully written, fun to read, makes you laugh, makes you cry, and makes you want to find this town (or one like it) and live there!

A delightful tale, told with wit and heart.
This is a wonderful story. I thought the plot was unique and found the characters very endearing.
While the beginning and middle of the book dragged a bit, it kept my attention. It was well worth the wait, as the ending wrapped it all together with twists and turns and a very sweet message!
While the middle of this book seemed to drag a bit, the descriptive ability of the author was awesome and really made you feel as though you were spending a summer in a small town in Italy. It was so easy to fall in love with the characters and I LOVED the ending. I cried.
I REALLY liked this book. You want to visit this little Italian village and feel you know the people living there.
A strange and original story. To be honest, I'm not sure what to think. . .but I read it more than once :)
