Jonni McCoy shows us how to do it! Stay home with our kids, on one income. Many of her ideas are very practical and useful. Some of her ideas are a little out there, but she tells us clearly- you don't have to do everything she does! Use a few or many of her ideas to cut costs and spend more time with your kids. Updated from about fifteen years ago- I was glad to see that she did take many of the wacky ideas out from the original!

I only flipped through it before fulfilling a wish but I found the author has a light touch, an example being the chapter on "Celebrating With a Frugal Flair."
Clothing, utilities, and cleaning supplies are also addressed. Se starts with eleven guidelines on reducing food expenditures and there are a few menu plans at the end of the book.
"It is not about what you are cooking but how you shopped for it and who prepared it."

This was a great book and really has some great ideas for how to save money! Also has great reference lists to other books on the same topics. There are great recipes for thrifty meals and other products you can make homemade alternatives for, too! This more updated version better relates with this time era, which was helpful.
