I found this book to be an easy read; finished in a week on the bus to/from work. The relationship between Stella and her mother was a bit much - typical stage mom syndrome with guilt tendencies thrown in for good measure. I also found the relationship between the upstairs neighbor, Christian, and Stella to be over the top. This made me flashback to my times when I was trying to "make it" in the world of acting. Thank goodness I gave up and decided to keep it within the community theatre world! At first I felt sorry for Stella and then I became a bit pissed off because of her past relationships. Sometimes "chick lit" does that to me but having an affair with a married man with a pregnant wife? And then getting pissed because he's getting married to the woman he was cheating on both his wife AND Stella was a bit much. As I said, it was an easy read. Do not be fooled. Miss Bubbles is the MAIN character of this story. I would've rather have read a book about that!

I haven't quite finished it yet, but I am finding it almost impossible to put this book down. I LOVE it! Hopefully it will end well. I'm pretty confident how it will end, but the journey is thrilling!

This book is very funny chic lit, I really liked Stella, the main character. You really find yourself rooting for her and her acting career.

Cute, light, fun. The cat is more mature than her mistress.
