A fairly true to the times story set in Regency Bath. The Colonel was her dead fiance's best friend. Now that Miss Tibbles is reduced to being a governess, she can't aspire to be the colonel's friend, but he insists. She is, of course, a lady. Her former employers work together to bring the two lovers to an engagement.

Wonderful book! Reminds me of Georgette Heyer's most lively and comedic romances. Light reading, no explicit scenes.
