I'm reading the series in order, so I'll review each novella in this book as I read them.
Storm Warning: FBI Agents Nate Dunning and Lucy Kincaid are asked to escort a prisoner back to San Antonio from a small Texas town where he was arrested. What sounds like a routine transport turns into a disaster. The jail where the prisoner was being held has flooded; so they must transport a second prisoner. On top of that, a huge storm is bearing down on Texas and the creeks and rivers are overflowing. As Nate and Lucy navigate their way toward San Antonio, the two prisoners make a daring escape with the help of their gang. Now Nate and Lucy must recapture the prisoners and survive the storm.
This was an excellent novella that fit perfectly into the Lucy Kincaid series. It was non-stop action that had me on the edge of my seat. My rating: 5 Stars.
No Way Out: Lucy Kincaid and her husband, Sean Rogan, are staying in Hildalgo, Texas, to attend the wedding of Sean's brother, Kane. But the day before the wedding, Sean and Kane are missing. It is apparent that several trucks have broken through the ranch's security where a fight took place. Kane's fiancé, Siobhan Walsh, receives a phone call from Mexican Drug Lord Felipe Juarez. Lucy and Siobhan learn that Kane was taken in retaliation for freeing Juarez's thirteen-year-old daughter from an arranged marriage several years ago. Lucy has limited time to find Sean and Kane before it's too late.
Another outstanding novella in the Lucy Kincaid series. This story is non-stop action. Loved it! My rating: 5 Stars.
A Deeper Fear: FBI Agent Lucy Kincaid and her husband, Sean Rogan, are attending a law enforcement conference in Sacremento. Sean worked on a high-tech drone which is being presented at the conference. But Sean is having problems dealing with the fallout of being arrested for a murder he did not commit, and his mind isn't on his work. The day of the drone demonstration dawns, and Lucy learns that Sean's friend, Ellen Dupre, has disappeared right before she is scheduled to demonstrate the drone. On top of that, Sean never came home last night and Lucy hasn't heard from him.
Another solid novella in the Lucy Kincaid series. This catches me up on the series. I hope the author continues with this series soon. My rating: 4 Stars.
