This is touted as a psychological thriller, but it wasn't that at all. It's a story about Roz, a single mother who makes a wrong decision accepting a proposal to spend an intimate night with Scott, a married man who will pay her for the time.

Roz is at her wits end, deeply in debt and receives an eviction notice. She sees an end to her financial problems and accepts Scott's proposal. Of course, one night turns into an affair and Scott falls in love with her though it is not reciprocated. He becomes obsessed with her and tracks her every move. She meets his brother in law Henry, and they have an instant mutual attraction and when Roz tries to end the affair with Scott, he plans his revenge.

Roz is a physiotherapist and her supervisor Wayne finds out about her secret and blackmails her into having sex with him. She sees no way out so goes to his house, but things go out of control and Wayne knocks Roz unconscious. Her life seems to spiral downwards from this point as she comes to and drives herself home and Wayne disappears.

This story kept my interest and I read it in two sittings. However Roz was pathetic starting up with Scott in the first place. She was in financial trouble partly because her no good ex husband lived with his mother and did not want to work, therefore no child support. She also was paying off his maxed out credit card since it was a joint account. She never took him to court and let him see his son every other weekend. As far as I'm concerned, the position she found herself in was her own fault.

I gave this a 4 star rating as I found myself deeply involved with the characters even though they were hard to like.

A Bit of a disappointment and not very realistic.
