  We all make mistakes
Do things we wish we wouldn't
Look back and see the broken hearts
We know we caused to fall apart
We all have that moment in time
We wish that we could re-do
Go back and make it right
Now that we've had time to think it through
We all have regrets
That hang over our sorry heads
Things we hate to remember
Foolish words we carelessly said
Steps we never should have taken
Roads we never should have followed
People we never should have talked to
That all bring back memories of piercing sorrow
We all know the agonizing giult
That seems will never fade away
We all have hit ourselves in rage
Of that stupid mistake made that one day
The one day we want to erase
That one page we wish was never written
That one step we want to rewind
That word to which we never should have listened
We've all fallen in the darkness
Did the thing we promised we never would
We've all had the heavy conscience
Reminding us of how we failed to be good
We all can recal that half a second
That changed the way we look at things
Because we failed the one we loved
And have to carry the burden that it brings
We all know how hard it is to get over
Something thats' memory just wont fade
A choice you made in foolishness
That you must face the consequences of each day
We've all felt unworthy
We've all fallen short
Yet there's a reason to get up
And move on
A reason from an infallable Glory
And as much as we do not deserve it
He came to die nonetheless
To show us grace and mercy
And offer us forgiveness
"My Child, I've forgiven you
For all your missteps and mistakes
I accept you just the way you are
Your broken heart I long to take
I know you don't feel worthy
Oh, and no your not
But thats just the way it is
When your offered unfailing love"
So though each of us have held on to
The burden of our failures
Jesus is holding out his piecred hands
To take them on his bloody shoulders
So leave your heart
Leave your crown
Leave the mistakes
And just break down
Put them at the feet
Of the cross of calvery
And accept the acceptance
God's offering to you and me
The tears will fall as He picks them up
Because you know how unworthy you are
Your heart will ache with agony
As you watch Him bear your sins and grief
Yet peace will rush over your soul
As you stand in victory
Healed by the blood of the corss
Poured out for you and me
So don't deny the Lord's acceptance
And don't deny the gift
Don't try to regect
The very thing He's already given
Take it in such gratitude
That it changes your life, your actions, and your words
Be a new creation forevermore
And sacrifice it all no matter how it hurts
And leave behind your tragedies
You can't go back, the mistake is made
You had once chance, you missed the mark
But you are accepted through the beauty of
AMAZING GRACE

From one Jesus Freak to another: I often think that what separates the Children of Wrath from the Children of God has nothing to do with character or virtue and everything to do with answering that still, small voice that calls to us. I often think what a nice place Heaven would be if more people were there with us. I often cry for those who choose differently.

To all who commented - thankyou. This poem I wrote after talking to a friend of mine who felt as if one half a second had changed a situation he was in from okay to a complete mistake. I could easily identify, as I think we all can. There are times when, I admitt, despite my faith in God,I feel oh so unworthy of His forgiveness. And in His faithfullness he revealed to me that that is so true, yet He already forgave me, so rejecting that release of guilt, is only handicapping me. I wrote this poem to share with all those who know that feeling, and who find themselves so unworthy of Grace. He already forgave you, accept the gift, and live for Him.
