I am catching up on the China Bayles series and this one is one was especially hard to put down. I can't decide what I like the best - the good story that China Bayles solves or the interesting herbal lore that Wittig Albert weaves through the story. A good one!

This series of books is delightful. Warm characters, a town I want to move to and smart people (mostly women) solving the twisted mysteries of Pecan Springs. Texas really is like she describes it. Lots of characters and tehn some more characters! Enjoyable read with a bit of time travel thru the feminist movement as you go throught the series. China evolves in her thinking like many of us have. Easy way to learn a lot about herbs too!
