I just finished this one - the first of a new series for me. It was a little predictable and mild, but I enjoyed it just the same. I love mysteries with fun, real to life characters and Lucy Stone fits the bill. I liked it enought that I have already ordered the sequels!

I knew I would enjoy this when I saw the setting (a small Maine town) and the heroine's job (telephone customer service), but I didn't realize how fun it would really be. I was totally clueless as to the guilty party until the very end and quick reads like this are a great break from daily chores. The book was long enough to be fully developed and short enough to read in a day--pure pleasure on paper!
I'll be returning to Tinker's Cove--the main characters are quirky and the small-town atmosphere comes alive. Since this was the first in a series, I hope to see the return of many of the "minor" characters. I am probably going to try to read the books in order; although they don't meet my "keeper" requirements at this time, Tinker's Cove will become a new, regularly-visited "vacation spot on paper".

This was a cute wonderful story. Well ...Other then the murder of course. LOL Lucy Stone is such a likeable person. She is a great main character. Her little home town in Maine sounds so charming. I can't wait to read more about it.
