Two books in one -- both really good. Witty, romantic with rich, colorful characters...This is the first time I have read this author and I really recommend

I really liked both stories a lot. Both of the Heroine's were spunky and weren;t afraid to stand up for themselves. I really enjoyed both.

Two great stories. Characters are well developed, there is witty, funny dialogue, heart-wrenching moments, easily a fast read. Enjoy..

MORE THAN A MISTRESS: Injured during a duel, the Duke of Tresham hires one of the onlookers as his nurse for three weeks. He gets more than he bargained for because Jane/Sarah gives as good as she gets and she has no intention of letting the duke have the last word.

Jane is in London to seek asylum with her godmother against her father's heir and his loathsome son (who tried to rape her so that she would be forced to marry him).

This is a really well-written story that moves quickly through 400+ pages. I enjoyed it a great deal. (5 stars)

NO MAN'S MISTRESS: This was a delightful story that moved quickly for the first half of the book. Then the author revealed Viola/Lilian's secret and the story started to unravel for me. 3.5 stars

"MORE THAN A MISTRESS" is typical Balogh....Sensual, inappropriate regency...The Duke offers a lady the position of his mistress, she accepts...the Duke doesn't know the mistress is a lady running from the law....of course he has to marry her to make her respectable....
"NO MAN'S MISTRESS" is about the Duke's brother, who is a virgin (SHOCKER!!!) the woman he is trying to seduce he thinks is a lady, but turns out to be a hi-end prostitute....she could be any man's one-night stand, but refuses to be any man's mistress, hence the title:"No Man's Mistress" - The first book is OK....hilarious....the second book was a little hard to bear and I could not bear to finish it....I refuse to read about a Duke's virgin brother!!!
