Book three takes our intrepid heroine to Peru after her shop is burned and a man is found dead in the ruins. In an act of spite aimed at her ex-husband Lara outbids him for a box of what seems to be worthless junk. Further investigation reveals that some of the items are from the Moche culture and have probably been stolen by tomb robbers. Lara flees Canada and using an assumed identity joins a dig and tries to find out how the items arrived in Canada. Lots of derring do and interesting information, as always, included. There is a neat twist at the end and the possiblity of a new man in her life.

Another great archaeological mystery, filled with historical fact woven into the intriguing plot. Great series of books, each so different, but with a common thread. You'll want to read all of Lyn Hamilton's books. Each is a stand alone story so jump in anywhere.
