I really enjoyed this book, and highly recommend it to others. "Mommie Lit" is one of my favorite genres, and this book is one of the best I've read so far. The women are likable, funny and quirky while managing to stay realistic at the same time. This book is very funny in some parts, very touching in others, and I must admit that in parts of the book, I could completely relate to their situations with their spouses, jobs or family problems.
I think the "chick lit" market is overwhelmed with "women's friendships" books, and I tend not to read very many of them as it seems there are always the same stereotypes, but the author managed to break these molds and make very lifelike characters. These women make mistakes, sometimes huge ones. They have fears, they have problems, and their lives are far from perfect.
It's a close call, but I've decided to trade this one, only bc it was too good not to share! Also, there is a preview chapter at the end of this book for Gaskell's next book, and it sounded good as well. I gave this book 4.5 stars out of 5.

One of Whitney Gaskell's best books yet. You will relate to one of the women in this her newest book.

This book was a lot of fun! I could identify with many of the characters and their struggles, particularly Chloe who was having a hard time deciding whether to go back to work after having her baby. The characters were very believable and true to life. I really enjoyed it and am definitely going to read other books by this author.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved all the characters and the different paths they led. Very fun and fast summer read. Didn't want the book to end. Great "mommy lit."
Good story overall. Interesting tale from four different perspectives of motherhood. Kind of depressing though.
Interesting story of the ups and downs of motherhood, relationships and life. Each character is unique and individual but complement one another quite well. I liked all of them and thought they could easily be women you would want to be friends with. The author does such an excellent job of illuminating their situations, triumphs and challenges that made their personalities come alive and made it easy for me to empathize with each of them. I do have to say that there was a brief moment when I thought I would give up on this book because of the direction Juliet was headed, but her actions ultimately made my earlier doubts about her vanish. The pace of the story was a little slow for me in the beginning, but started to pick up half-way into the story. Though the pace dragged for me some, my interest and curiosity about the characters remained intact.
My Final Verdict: Overall, this is a good story that will appeal to fans of the romance and chick-lit genres who enjoy stories that focus on interpersonal relationships, both the good and the bad. Readers who like stories about the challenges of real-life and overcoming adversity will enjoy this story. Raising children is hard work and this story is a reminder how important it is for a mother to have a good support network around her.

I really enjoyed this book. As a new mother I could really relate to the story. The book was funny and entertaining.
Funny, very real characters!
Great book, funny at times and sad at times.
