Clint Andrews is on doctor's orders for a peptic ulcer; life on the ranch and helping out his neighbors is less stressful than his career, the ugly divorce he's just been through, and 3 kids he doesn't know how to parent. Gail Wheeler's father is ill, she's come home to care for him, but needs help on the farm. She's very thankful that Clint is already helping her dad, but finds that although she loves having his kids around, she is sure she doesn't want to be a stepmom again; BTDT, bought the t-shirt! Still, she's having a hard time fighting the feelings, other than gratitude, that she has for Clint . . .

This was a very nice read and made me want to KEEP reading! Could have been a Christian romance if they had interjected religion into it. Very mild..no sex scenes at all..very 'family' oriented theme and made me want to read on about the family after the book was finished. Too bad author didn't write a sequel to it..

Clint Andrews has come to Broken Bow, Montana-to his uncle's ranch-on doctor's orders.A stressful career, an ugly divorce and a family-three kids he adores but isnt sure he knows how to parent-have taken their tool. NOw, and for the next few months,he traded his suit and tie for jeans and cowboy boots,he's spending time with his children and he's helping out on a neighboring farm, because that's what people do in places like this.
Gail Wheeler's father's illness has brought her home to the family ranch, and she's thankful Clint is giving her parents a hand. But she's having a hard time fighting her other feelings about him-feelings that have nothing to do with gratitude.Because, although she loves having his kids around-especially 4yr old Megan,Gail knows she can NEVER be a stepmother again....... "a wonderfully moving story of two people with a chance to start over....this time, together"
