"An excellent book. A Mood apart describes individuals suffering from mood disorders with compassion and insight; their stories humanize the condition and their recoveries inspire hope." Kay Redfield Jamison, professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine

Excellent, compassionate book on the difficulties, shame, and misunderstandings in mood disorders. The author writes not only from his patients' experiences, he also sees his patients as human beings, not as diseases. I hope more people read this and understand the fear confusion in having these mood disorders.
A thought provoking book written in laymans terms about depression and manic-depression. A must read for those who suffer from these illnesses or the families who confront these issues on daily basis.
