One of the author's better books, it is the story of Clara Wingate, a romance writer who has terrible taste and luck with men. She re-meets the boy who tormented her during her childhood, who still torments her, but in a much better way. Very well done.
Great & hot read. Funny & silly characters.

It took me until page 204 to really enjoy this book. I was pretty bummed that it was not peaking my interest since the only other book I had read by Rachel Gibson was "Nothing but Trouble" which was sooooo good. I was really looking forward to this, although I do still enjoy her style of writing. I just wasn't that interested in this particular story. I am going to continue to read more of her books because I know her potential. This book is a part of a 4 story series although I don't think they need to be read in order. I did like the way it ended!
Rachel Gibson has me wanting more of her books every time!

I love Rachel Gibson. Reading a dash of humor with my romance - or romance with my humor is a favorite of mine! All her books are wonderful.
I haven't met a Rachel Gibson book I did not like. It's a fun, easy read.

Not a bad read, just seemed like it took forever for them to make a connection. Lighthearted but in parts I felt like the author was trying too hard to be funny.

This was another good fast read from Rachel Gibson. Part of a series of four best friend who all happen to be writers. This is the first of the series I've read. The series, in order,:
"Sex, Lies, and Online Dating"
"I'm In No Mood For Love"
"Tangled Up In You"
"Not Another Bad Date"
"Sex, Lies, and Online Dating"
"I'm In No Mood For Love"

"Not Another Bad Date"

Good book! Rachel Gibson rarely disappoints.
I've read a few books by Gibson and loved them. This one was a disappointment. The characters were good enough but the problem was there weren't a lot of interaction between the characters until after page 200. So the first 200 pages were all about the characters doing their own thing and it got really boring. Then after 200 pages, the end kind of happens really fast.
Loved this book!!!
Quick, funny read - great for beach reading!

Very entertaining, hard to put down as you want to read the next page (3am creeps up very quickly when you keep saying ... just one more page!). For those who have read Sex, Lies and Online Dating, this tells the story of Lucy's friend Clare. A stimulating read!
Awesome!!!Best one yet.

I enjoy Gibson, and this had momments of good humor, but there really isn't much of a plot, and the story rambles along without much to propel it forward.
Not Gibson's best effort.

Life was going well for Clare Wingate until she comes home to find her fiance; in her walk-in closet with the Sears repairman. Clare doesn't want to tell her best friend about her problems since it is her wedding day, so she doesn't say a word. She quietly drinks herself under the table. The next morning Clare wakes up in a strange hotel room with a terrible hangover and no memory of the night before; but she knows it involves her childhood nemesis, Sebastian Vaughan, who is also in the hotel room.
I was bored with this contemporary romance. Both Clare and Sebastian have parental problems. Sebastian is estranged from his father since he lived with his mother after their divorce. Now he has a chance to get to know him. Clare can never please her mother. She even becomes engaged to a gay man because her mother approved of his manners.
Clare doesn't trust men anymore and isn't ready for a relationship; but she is interested in Sebastian. He is a commitment phobic and agrees to a friends-with-benefits arrangement. Of course, that isn't enough for either of them.
I liked the first book in this series, but I didn't care for this one. There wasn't much of a plot at all. The pace was slow, and the hero and heroine spent a lot of time apart in the middle of the book. I hope the next book is better. My rating: 2.5 Stars.

How's this for a bad day? You come across your fiance and the Sears repairman in the act, stand up in a friend's wedding with a smile plastered on your face, get smashed at the hotel bar, and wake up virtually naked with, not a stranger, but with your old childhood nemesis exiting the shower. Romance writer Clare Wingate is shocked and humiliated and can't remember a thing, and Sebastian Vaughan doesn't bother to enlighten her. But he's back in Boise, and now they can't help running into each other. He finds it ironic that she writes romances, and she finds his -commitment-free lifestyle a joke. But there's just something about him that makes her delude herself into thinking she can handle his suggestion of a friends-with-benefits relationship. Gibson's all-around great story has everything: excellent characters, amusing wit, and a real, believable romance. Gibson exceeds expectations with this terrific tale.
I love her writing... this one will not disappoint. Brand new release a real catch. Merry Christmas to all. Love your fellow reader!!!!
Claire is in no mood for love-she has just found her fiance in a compromising position with the washing machine repairman. Enter Sebastian, a sexy, globe-hopping journalist who she had a crush on when she was young and he had tormented her. Now she wants nothing to do with men and wants him to go away but he wants to stay.
