Wow! This is one of the corniest books I've read in a long time. I couldn't even finish it, even though I got more than half-way through. At first I tried to give the author the excuse that it was published more than twenty years ago, but after continuing on, I came to realize the author was writing a lot, but saying very little. The story could have had potential, but the author's use of description just got ridiculous. The redundant use of "evil", "demonic", and "satanic" just made me laugh at first but then it got annoying. I mean seriously, does every negative action by one of the character need to be described by those adjective?
Then there's the blatant rip-off of terminology many of us are probably aware of having been used in the various Star Trek shows we've seen (or had to see since Trekkies lurk everywhere). I'm pretty sure there were more than I noticed, but I kept thinking of Captain Kirk or Captain Picard whenever I'd read the term "Star Fleet" (or other similar ones used from the shows).
And the characters! Yikes! They had no problem voicing their feelings, yet everyone keeps "wondering" why the other person does what they did to "hurt" them... It's like they have VERY short-term memory! I've never known guys to be so vocal about what's on their mind!
Maybe I'm just the type to expect more from a book, but this one was lacking in so many ways! Spend your time looking for a better sci-fi romance elsewhere and you'll never miss the fact you skipped out on this one (unless you're looking for a roller-coaster ride of absurdity).

Excellent book! Very differnt from what I expected it to be.
Captive to His Savage Passion - A moan escaped Jana Greyson as this strong, handsome stranger invaded her lips with his demanding kisses. He had stolen her from her world, made her his prisoner, and now enslaved her with the trembling rapture of his hunger...igniting a white-heat that melted her will to resist.
Slave to Her own Desire - Commander Varian Saar had come from a place beyond imagining and claimed Jana for his own. His powerful hand left a fiery trail across her ivory skin, his cobalt eyes possessed her with their unrestrained longing ..and now her fate rested in his quicksilver grasp. Forbidden partners...forbidden love... and soon their mad, tumultuous union became a pledge as boundless as the universe itself, a promise to seek their future amont the glittering start.
Their Love Burned Brighter than the Stars!!
