This book is an easy read, but entertaining. Basically an astronaut collects a moon rock. Moon rock sits in storage for many years. One thing leads to another and the same "virus" that infects Venus (causing it to explode) is now on Earth. A wide range of characters race against time to stop the "moonseed" or try to find a way to save humanity.

An excellant hard SF read. If you like end of the world disaster novels, you will love this. A nonovirus dubbed "Moonseed" is activated when Venus explodes causes severe conditions on Earth. NASA is once again called upon to try to save what is left of mankind.
