This is on my favorites shelf. I have loaned and given several copies.
The book not only gives the real scoop on China's former One-Child policy, but gives some history and is a fascinating story!
If anyone is considering adopting a child from China, it is a very important historical perspective.

A great book that is classic to me. Explains China's reproductive policies and the means to address them. It is a very personal book, and allows us here in the US to understand what life in China is like. My heart cried for the women (and families) denied their hearts desire to have more children or even another. This even included forced abortions. To me this is unthinkable. Well written and highly readable. Recommend highly.
