So funny! Evanovich is always getting laughs but this book really gets you going. Barney (a sassy lady) thinks there's some cheating going on among the NASCAR drivers at the local race track and she sets out to prove it. Then a body turns up and the police are looking at her and her newest fella. A wild chase begins and you won't have it figured out until the last page.

Another fun read from Evanovich. If you like Stephanie Plum and the numbers books, you'll enjoy the books with Barney. While not great literature, there's enough laughs and adventure to entertain you on the beach, on the bus or just in the comfort of your own easy chair.

As a Stephanie Plum fan, I was not quite as taken with the Barnaby series, but this is a good book. Fun, quick read.

I am disapointed with this series. I have read the first two, but probably will not read any more.

If you like mysteries, this is a fast read. I had not had the opportunity to read this author as of yet. If you like humor mixed in with your mystery this is a good one to start with. I laughed till I cried in some spots, and if you read you will discover where that part of the story is. Enjoy, it's worth the time to read for something mysterious and light at the same time.

I love the Barnaby series

Loved this book! It was just as quirky as Stephanie Plum and a laugh out loud read!

I don't get into NASCAR, but this is a book that should be made into a movie, it is hil-ar-ious! Funny, funny, funny, from dead bodies in trailer to missing parts as appetizers for bowzer, not real name. From Puerto Rican chicks that think they're detectives or something religiously funny. A must read.

Classic Evanovich.

This is a funny, sexy book! I enjoyed it very much!

Just as madcap funny as the first in this new series. You simply can't go wrong with Janet Evanovich.
I liked this book alot, it was very good and funny and it kept me reading. The characters are really funny and keep you going!
just a joy to read!!
I am a big fan of Janet Evanovich, and even though she's not Stephanie Plum, Alexander "Barney" Barnaby's antics are just as fun!
not stephanie plum, but still a great book
Just loved it! Funny, funny.
Fun, fun book. I liked the characters a lot. This was my first Janet Evanovich book but certainly not my last.
Everything you always wanted to know about righteous indignation, steeling an eighteen-wheeler, and sex in the fast lane.
LOVED this book! Absolutely hilarious with a great mystery plot. I love Alex's attitude. Just a fun, easy read with plenty of suspense & thrills to add to the mix. It was my first of hers and I've already ordered alot more!
I like Metro Girl better. This one was a little too over the top for me. If a third comes out I'll probably read it. I am much more a fan of her Stephanie Plum novels.
I really like the chemistry between Hooker and Barnaby. Nice to have suspense with good humor added. Look forward to reading another book with these two characters.
I love this new series. Great, likeable characters. Book 2 was just as good as book 1.
A woman with a taste for speed and a talent for breaking the rules, Barney also knows a little something about cheating. First there was Hooker and that salesclerk. Now she's convinced one of the competitors is up to no good on the track. Snooping to find evidence, Hooker & Barney wind up with a "borrowed" NASCAR hauler, two race cars, and a dead guy. And that's just the beginning of the trouble.
I used to really like the Stephanie Plum series, but I found them becoming too predictable. This series is a nice change. I like the fact that the protagonist is smart, good with mechanical things, and isn't always a bumbling idiot. Sure, I can probably relate to Stephanie more on a personal level, but I don't mind reading about someone who is quite my polar opposite. Lots of fun to read!
The best Barney/Hooker book yet! Mix in Barney, Hooker, a stolen hauler and lots of laughs. (Plus Felicia and Rosa are back!) Loved it, can't wait for the next one.
Another great Barnaby book!! 2nd book in this series (Metro Girl was the first). A fun fast read with laugh out loud parts all surrounded by mystery and involving NASCAR. Great book!!
Alex Barnaby is back with Hooker, Rosa & Felicia in tow! Just as witty and fast-paced as Metro Girl...had me laughing out loud.
I enjoyed this second book in the series just as much as the first. I hope she continues to write more about this crazy Nascar couple.
Love the characters in this series of books
As always, Janet Evanovich delivers a great story, enjoyable characters, and a well defined plot. Thank you!
Another wonderful book by an incredible author!!!!!!!!
Excellent book. True to form for Evanovich.
Barney, Hooker, and friends are back, tearing up the race track, and tearing up the town! The action takes place in a wild race around Southern Florida and Concord, North Carolina, home of NASCAR. Barney and Hooker "borrow" a NASCAR trailer to save a friend, only to discover that in addition to the two race cars and their friend Gobbles in the back, there's also a naked dead man wrapped in plastic! And that's not all... turns out the cars house their own secrets as well.
Now on the run from a couple of hit men, the head of R&D at Huevo Industries, and the police for questioning on a murder they didn't commit, Barney and Hooker team up with old pals Felicia and Rosa to clear their names, and try to figure out what's going down in downtown!
This was another great Evanovich read which I enjoyed just as much as its predecessor Metro Girl. It had a lot of laugh-out-loud moments, and you're left wondering just what's happening right up until the very end.

Janet has done it again. What a great follow up to Metro Girl. I can't wait to read another one in this serries!
Excellent book!
Lighthearted modern "adventure" was a fun read as all of this author's books are.
Awesome sequel to Metro Girl! Great characters and lots of fun.
Great follow-up to Metro Girl.
This book had some funny scenes, but I feel like the series is already getting very repetitive.
Janet Evanovich has delighted me with her Stephanie Plum stories - but I just cant' get into this new series.
Read like a Stephanie Plum novel really liked it
Barney isn't Stephanie, but it's still a fun read.
Excellento!
The second novel about Alex and NASCAR ... not as addictive as the Plum series but still an enjoyable read.
very funny though evanovich is a feel good writer that will make you laugh out loud no matter where you are.
One of her best books yet
Very funny book - and with the NASCAR twist, fellas even like it!
Great book, lots of action!
Book 2 in Evanovich's Barnaby series. It's crazy, funny, sexy, and surprising! You'll love every minute!
More motor madness and a very funny ride!
Another great book by Janet!!!!!
All of her books are great! This is no exception! I laughed alot reading it, and can't wait for the next one!
Another fan of Evanovich told me to read this----it was great advice. Another fun read.
I enjoyed this book, it's really funny and interesting.
Very captivating from the start. Let your imagination run free, and this book can be very entertaining.
Book 2 in the Alexandra barnaby series
i have 2 of these books just got them the other
I read Metro Girl and figured I needed to read Motor Mouth. Well, when I got this one, I couldn't even get a quarter of the way through it. The story was so unbelievable(I know, I know, it's just a book) but it was too, too, too much for me.
a woman with a taste for speed and a talent for breaking the rules, barney also knows a little too much about cheating.
Written in typical Evanovich style, this is a new character for Stephanie Plum lovers. The descriptions, situations, and characters have the free-wheeling Evanovich stamp. You'll laugh your way through this high-octane adventure involving a NASCAR driver, a St. Bernard, and lots of dead goons.
cute but not as good as her others
Hardcover Book
