I liked the story, being a true P&P addict, but I felt the characters were not true to original.Lizzy was just plain mean a lot of the time! Mary was as well. Not in keeping with the way I think of the main characters at all.
The feel of the time period was good and the new characters added were useful and interesting.

I really enjoyed this book. The book starts right before the wedding and follows the Darcys into life in London Society. Very refreshing.

I have mixed feelings about this book. When I began reading it, I thought it was (for an Austen pastiche) very well done, but for some reason I couldn't stay interested in it and set it aside to read another time. I haven't finished it and now at the distance of a couple of weeks I couldn't even say what it was about. So I would say, not to everyone's taste; perhaps you have to like Austen fan fiction (which is what this is, essentially) better than I do. If this lady ever wrote a book about her own original characters, though, I'd definitely give it a look, as she seems like quite an intelligent writer.
