I have read P&P and it was a very difficult read for me. HOWEVER, this book was very easy for me to read.
Told in Darcy's voice it was a funny and droll read. I did laugh at parts that i did not expect to. It does explain things a little more clearly than austen's work, in my opinion.
I highly recommend it for any P&P fan. A nice compliment to austen's work. Ms. Grange does a good job.

I love Pride and Prejudice! This is a fun, clean "Darcy" version of the events in the book. Most of the dialog is Austen, but Grange imagines what Darcy's thoughts could be. It is (mostly) realistic to how Darcy acts. The end does include some scenes after Elizabeth and Darcy are married that are less realistic.

As a fan of Jane Austen, I was very disappointed by this book. It's just a rehashing of Pride and Prejudice with almost the same dialogue. Very little of it was new or innovative. Mostly it just seemed like Grange was trying to improve on Austen's impeccable work. In short, a complete travesty.

This seems shorter than the original because less lengthy description is included, making it an easier faster read. Maintains the integrity of the original well and includes what Darcy thought of events as they unrolled. Not many other surrounding events are explored: I would have liked to see more of the Wickham story and more about what the men do when they are at "business" (what did they do anyway?!). Highly recommended for P+P fans! Yes!
