This is the story of Mr Revere's horse, told in her own words. An interesting point of view. She came to America as a British officer's horse and wound up on the rebel's side.
A great way to introduce American colonial history to young adults, especially with Robert Lawton's (of Ferdinand the Bull and Rabbit Hill fame)pen and ink drawings.
When I taught school, this was often a required book on the reading list. It's considered a classic by many.
