Once again a very good story, I'm going to miss this group for awhile until the next two show up at my door. I've had a grand time with this series and look forward to the next ones. The characters are wonderful and the mysteries good. Gives you a great view of another time in the worlds history. Great descriptions, never boring. Back about 3 books I discovered that each story has 11 chapters. Wonder what that number means for the author? Just asking!!!!!! Very enjoyable, will look forward to others.

In this episode of the Mrs. Jeffries series, the downstairs crew of the inspector's household must find the murderer of a French tutor before an innocent person is arrested, even though all the evidence points to this odious person. This is a wonderful , Victorian cozy, filled with realistic characters that I would have loved to have known! Always look forward to the next book in the series!

Emily Brightwell writes another great mystery starring Mrs. Jeffries & Co. Very interesting mystery, didn't know who had done it until the reveal. These books are gentle cozy mysteries set in Victorian England. Can't wait till the next installment; "Mrs. Jeffries and the Merry Gentleman!"
