Another in the Dark Ones series. Light, fun, laughed a lot. Excellent escape for a quick read.
I really enjoyed this one. It read more like one of her dragon series than her typical Dark Ones. There were more conflicts outside the Dark Ones / Beloved joining and way more action. It was a bit like a roller coaster ride but sillier.
The short story at the end is repeated in the beginning with some minor changes. I think saying it was a short story was definitely pushing it. It reads more like a prologue but I think the end was funnier than what was written in the book. I would have loved it if that's how the book started out instead.
Expect funny, zany things. I loved Cora. I didn't think I would because of her "I hate vampires" attitude but she was so crazy. Alec was great but really Cora steals the show.

I know this author has written many books, BUT this was just silly to me. I didn't even finish it. It has a good premise, but it really never took off for me. I couldn't get hooked into the characters, and there was way too much sex. Boring.
