Story of two administrative diplomatic workers, one German and one British, who went to college in England together. They support their counterparts during a conference in Munich, among Chamberlain, Hitler, and Mussolini, which was a last ditch effort to stop Hitler from invading Czechoslovakia. Very fast moving historical novel.
