The second in the series. In this one, Mouse and Aunt Sister, attend a show at a local art gallery. Murder and mayhem ensue, of course. Mixed in are local folk artists, a football hero, Mr. & Mrs. Claus, and a host of other characters. I am enjoying the series. Fun characters.

The Southern sisters attend a local art gallery opening and the head of the gallery dies. It seems someone put poison in her hairspray. Now the sisters are combing through clues to catch a killer with a bizarre style of art --- and murder.

Two southern sisters in Birminghan, Alabama, encounter the world of art. When the owner of an art gallery dies and her hysterical assistant makes her way to the house of one of the sisters, her former teacher, the sisters become involved in solving the murder.
The two sisters have completely different personalities and there is often humor when they are at cross-purposes.

A thoroughly delightful follow up to Anne George's Murder on a Girl's Night Out. I am looking forward to reading the rest in her Southern Sisters Mystery series.

The Southern Sisters mysteries are fun, light reads. Reminds me of Janet Evanovich's Plum series mysteries in the funny dept.

It's hard to believe practical, petite ex-schoolteacher Patricia Anne and amiable,ample-bodied,and outrageous Mary Alice are sisters, yet sibling rivalry has survived decades of good natured disagreement about everything from husbands to hair color.
No sooner do the Southern sisters discover a common interest in some local art, when they're arguing the artistic merits of some well-coiffured head at a gallery opening. A few hours later, one of those pretty ladies ends up dead-with not a hair out of place. The other shows up on Patricia Anne's doorstep dazed, disheveled, and telling a wild tale of a narrow escape from some deadly cuts. Now the sisters are once again combing for clues to catch a killer with a bizarre style in art- and murder.

Southern Sisters mystery #2. Mouse and Sister are at it again when the owner of an art gallery where they attend an opening is found murdered the next morning, apparently the victim of a potent cardiac medication mixed in with her hair gel and absorbed through the skin. The lady was a not-so-nice specimen, so suspects abound, including one of Mouse's former students. Enjoyable cozy, even though I figured out the bad guy way ahead. As with many cozies, the strength is in the characters

Terrific series..from back cover...."It's always a pleasure to keep company with Mouse and Sister - George's sunny Southern sisters are like comfort food, as good as grits and almost better than biscuits." Virginian Pilot and Ledger-Star

Patricia Ann and Mary Alice are back. They are going to an art gallery and soon a dead body turns up. From there many twists and turns occur along with the sisters usual interesting life. Good characters and a very good book.

This series is hysterical. Unfortunately there are only 8 books in total because Anne George died. This particular book has Patricia Anne and her outrageouse sister Mary Alice bonding over some local art and then getting embroiled in another murder investigation. The dialogue between the two is sharp and concise. Each sister is a well thought out and believable person. You feel like they could walk right out of the book and you would instantly know them and love them!

I really like this series. My only complaint is the language seems to get worse with each book.

Mouse and Sister are two over-the-hill ladies that just happen to be sisters. They attended an art gallery showing and then found out that the owner died. Then the mayhem and confusion began.

Patricia Ann (Mouse) and Mary Alice (Sister) are Southern charmers oozing with humor and fun. Anne George, before she died in 2005, certainly put Birmingham, Alabama on the map.
