I didn't care for this book. I purchased this book at a book fair and read it quickly because I saw that it was on people's WL. I thought that it was very predictable and figured out the murderer almost as soon as he was mentioned. This book was a total let-down. I was glad when it was finished and I could mail it out. A total waste of time!

I liked the book for several reasons. I did not guess who did it, it was an easy read, and it was clean, did not contain any curse words, a rarity these days. Also did not contain any immorality, or graphic sex scenes, or any allusion to such, as was not necessary for story line. Again, a rarity. It was a nice diversion while being sick!!

Frank Cole didn't want to be a detective. He just wanted to do what was right, and, hopefully, not make too much money at it.

Somewhat different from the usual profile of a P.I., Cole is actually just a fact-checker forced into a semi-P.I. role.

I first decided to read this novel as it takes place in Florida. Unfortunately, saying it takes place "in Florida" is about as close as it gets to being a Florida novel. But I continued to read it because I enjoyed the plot, the protagonist and the way the author wrote it all.

I tried getting into this book twice. It just didn't measure up. I'll post it so someone else can give it a try.
