I thought the mystery was pretty ridiculous, but I enjoyed the setting, hiking around Mt. Katahdin in Maine. And as with all Stefanie Matteson books, she does a bit of research on her subject and you learn things. This one focused on the Native Americans of that region, and some of their beliefs and customs.

According to the Baltimore Sun Charlotte Graham is a cross between Elizabeth Taylor, Katherine Hepburn and Miss Marple, a charming heroine. All I know is that the series is a good read. In this tale, according to the jacket blurb "Charlotte is supposed to use her vacation to write her much anticipated autobiography, but since she was never any good at sitting still she jumped at the chance to investigage a mysterious murder on the secluded Knife Edge mountain trail in Maine. The victim Iris Richards was once a glamorous Hollywood screenwriter who penned the scripts for many classic films starring none other than Charlotte herself. And now it's up to Charlotte to discover what deadly secrets Iris took with her on her long fall down."
