Books with strong female sleuths are page turners for me. And Kate Shackleton is one of them. I must read more about her.
Another is Winspear's "Maisie Dobbs." But some other female sleuths/spies leave me unimpressed. I'm thinking of one---a supposed "Masie Dobbs" clone---who should sue her author for making her look foolish, if not downright stupid.
Sorry, but I can't post this one for other members to read, as I need to return it to the library.
