It's winter in Keyhole Bay, Florida, and while the tourist trade is slow, souvenir shop owner Glory Martine is busy with her best friend's wedding. But between managing preparations, the bride's in-laws, and a haunted parrot named Bluebird, Glory makes plans to catch a killer.
I am very unhappy that this is the last book in Mrs. Fifield's series of mysteries, 'The Haunted Souvenir Shop" mysteries. It saddens me that I am not going to read anymore about Bluebird or Glory's spunky good-natured attitude, or if she is ever going to get engaged or wed or bookstore across the street beau.

A fun read set in a Florida panhandle town with a souvenir shop and a parrot who channels the long dead prior owner. Glory gets advice from her deceased uncle through his parrot as she runs her shop, copes with her annoying cousin, gets ready for her best friend's wedding, buys a new business and helps one of her suppliers when two dead bodies are found on the woman's property.

In this, the 4th book in the series, Glory gets a new business opportunity and finally a resolution to her shared ownership of Southern Treasures, a small souvenir shop in the Florida panhandle.
Not as much about a wedding as you would expect from the title, Glory once again gets herself involved in a double murder when she orders a quilt made as Karen and Riley's wedding gift. We see all the regular characters in their usual roles and more about Glory and Jake's deepening relationship. Of course, Bluebeard, the store's resident talking (and haunted) parrot gets plenty of coverage, including his image on a popular tshirt that generates plenty of sales for Glory.
She and Karen also delve into another mystery, that of finding the missing 'Anna' who was Sly's HS sweetheart but whose relationship couldn't last due to southern bias against inter-racial couples decades ago.
I was disappointed the wedding wasn't covered in more detail in the story. Even the planned bridal shower doesn't actually get 'attended'-- seems Fifield threw too much into the plot then dropped it before finishing the tale.
I will continue with the series though this one didn't please as much as earlier titles.
