Lloyd & Hill #4. Each book I read in this series makes me like it even more! I like Lloyd and Hill with all their foibles and warts, the well-plotted mysteries that I either don't figure out or else get it at the last minute, the setting, the supporting characters, all very well done. In this book, Judy Hill begins her new job as an Inspector in the next district with a bang when the wife of a prominent businessman hoping to turn to the political ring is murdered, and one of the members of the board of his business is killed on the same night. One murder takes place in Hill's jurisdiction, the other in Lloyd's. Heads together once again, the two of them ferret the clues out and piece the puzzle together.

A wonderful entry in the Judy Hill/DCI Lloyd mystery series set in England.

A satisfying entry in the series, although I remember enjoying the earlier ones more. Surprise ending helped, but it took a long time getting there.
