The followup to Jude's Law centers around May's best friend, Ashley Miles, who has fought long and hard to be independent and not count on anyone but herself. Her independence is threatened by the wealthy business owner she meets in the building she cleans. Both the immediate attraction between them and his desire to take care of her make her shy away, but when the danger from the previous book centers itself on Ashley, more than her independence is threatened. Wrapping up the loose ends from the previous book, this is another fun romance, funny and suspenseful at the same time.

This was a cute little romance, makes for good light reading. I always like a story like this after I have read a heavy story such as "Pillars of the Earth."
If you are looking for a cute romance with snappy dialoge then you will enjoy this book.

Gotta love a book with a strong, sassy, hardheaded heroine, who can take care of herself! Add a rich, determined man with a soft heart for the underdog....BAM You have a laugh-out-loud romance!

good Lori Foster read. Not my favorite, but enjoyable!
Part two of a series, this book is very sweet and sexy. The characters become like family; they're very likable.
great book
Great very sexy scences!
Lori Foster is one of my favorite authors--this book is a cute story and continues her long line of smart sexy characters. A must read for any lori foster fan.
Quinton Murphy knows what he likes and what he likes is Ashley Miles, May's best friend. But Ashley is willful, stubborn and has a plan for her life. She works hard and he knows he doesn't factor into her future. Good thing he's as stubborn as she is because he wants her in his life and he is going to make her realize that she can have her future and he can be a part of it. But he's not counting on how protective she is going to be of her heart. He knows she is hiding something from him and he will do what he must to find out what it is...he doesn't scare easily and Ashley is worth it.
Ms. Foster has done it again! This is a wonderfully sexy read that long time fans and new fans alike will love. The pages sizzle with their sexy chemistry and when combined with the fast-paced storyline, you will be well entertained.

Superimpose a tidy, conscientious art gallery owner on a bently-driving professional fighter and you have Murphy's Law. Lots of action, lots of romance.
love it!
This is the follow up to Jude's Law. Both very good books.
Great Book!!
Anything that can go wrong...will.
Nothing is going to go wrong. Ashley Miles has worked too hard for her independence to let some Bentley-driving hunk named Quinton Murphy interfere with her plans -- or her freedom. Yes, the chemistry is phenomenal. Kind of scary, actually. But that's it. NO emotional commitments.
But he's SO wonderful, a woman could fall in love... How did that happen? "That wasn't part of the plan! But can she trust him? Really trust him? The man is just so mysterious. There's only one solution: put it all on the line and see what Quinton does when she tells him how she feels. And hope everything that can go wrong... won't!
"Lori does it again,worth reading"

Great Read!
I loved this book! Its a sequel to Jude's Law, so you'll want to read that first.
Great book, I could not put it down...
Romantic
just like murphy's law what can go wrong will, when ashley trys to show her independence she falls in love just at the wrong time.
I really enjoyed Quinton and Ashley's story. Quinton's is openly infatuated with Ashley and she has trouble believing it. The story line of their romance takes center stage in this book, which I like. However the subplot of someone stalking Ashely was all very neatly wrapped up in just the last few pages, as was the resolution to their argument - which I felt was unrealistic. All in all this story is inline with the others and good follow up from Jude's Law. Recommend to all Lori Foster fans!
I like this series of her books
Very good reading, Lori Foster is a terrific writer!
Good Story! Love relationship between Murphy & Ashley!
Murphy is hot! Great ending!
Murphy is hot! Great ending!
Really enjoyed it. Liked the strong female lead and he was perfect for her. I recommend this book.
Gotta have this one after Jude's Law. They go together! Great follow up and closure. Maybe even steamier than the first one!!
I like all of her books!
Fast, excellent read. A sequel to Jude's Law...but not necessary to read it first.
Quirky little romance. 1st read from this author. I enjoyed it.
Sequel to Judes Law, this tells Ashley's story, and though she is the ultimate independent woman, she learns how to lean a little on a solid man....
From the back cover...

Excellent Book
Loved it, loved it, loved it!! Much better than Jude's Law in my opinion! There was an actual story this time...not a story based around the sex scenes. I hope Foster keeps the stories going by basing one on Tim and Denny. There's much more story to tell!!
Loved it. Quick read. Engaging characters. Love her books, but they keep getting better and this is a good one!
Great! Love this author. She's on my list of authors that I buy by name alone.
Good story. Especially for Lori Foster fans

My copy is a book club hardback. This may be the last Lori Foster I buy though, she is becoming a disappointment the last few books from her I have skimmed through without really reading.
Lori Foster is a can't miss read.
I loved this book. If possible read Jude's Law first!
2nd in new series, follows after Jude's Law. This is Ashley & Quinton's story and it is great. Nobody writes like Lori Foster-she is the "best".
Really good book. LOVE IT!!
Loved it. Took me a little bit to pick up and the connection from the previous book because it had been so long since I had read it. Loved the characters. Can't wait for more from her.
A wonderful book! The characters were fun and now I cannot wait to go back and read the book before this one...a fast read.
Ashley works hard for independence and freedom from her troubled past. Now she must resist the charms of a sexy man, bound and determined to get under her skin, while fighting off threats from an enemy. Part of a related series.
This is a great book, funny, sexy and even has a little suspense. Though it's great to have read it's predessor, Jude's Law, it does stand alone.
As Foster's Jude's Law (2006) ends, Jude Jamison, former wrestling champ turned movie star, tired of his stardom, has moved to the small town of Stillbrook, Ohio, and hooked up with art dealer, May Price. They get their happily-ever-after ending, but May's best friend, the charmingly sarcastic Ashley, needed a book of her own to finish her story, and this is it.
Ashley has been sparring with Quinton Murphy, another character from Jude's Law, and she's not sure what to do with him. At 29, she's never been with a man, always using her ready wit and fast comebacks to distance herself from any romantic contenders. But Quinton is different. Instead of being put off by Ashley's snippiness, he finds her prickliness quite adorable. Ashley, realizing she's in over her head and needs advice, turns to Denny, former wrestling trainer and Jude's right-hand man, who becomes Ashley's confidante. Other characters making a return appearance (libraries should have both Law titles) include the car-bombing villain, and the element of danger enhances the entertainment.

Ashley Miles is very independent and she has plans for her future that do not include hunky Quinton Murphy. A fun read.
If anything can go wrong.....funny sexy romance
2nd book in the series. Mystery/romance. Enjoyable, quick read
I couldn't finish it. Enough said.
this is the sequel to Jude's Law... I think I liked Jude's Law better... but this book was still pretty good.... I always like Lori Foster!
Not one of her best. Although the story line is great, it carries over from "Jude's Law", the heroine who seemed only 'quirky' as a minor character in Jude's Law is a little grateing in this one. Still the story flows well and it was an enjoyable read just not going on my "keeper" shelf.
I love Lori Foster books especially this one and Jude's Law.
Great read! LOL quite a few times. This can be read as a stand alone, but it's better if you read Jude's Law first. You will understand some of the family dynamics better if you do so.

I loved this book. It was a great follow up to Jude's Law, the first in the series.
When Quinton Murphy meets Ashley Miles (in the first book) he felt like he was hit by a ton of bricks. Unfortunately anything that could go wrong went wrong. The instant attraction had her thinking twice, but after a misunderstanding she steered clear of him. Still his persistence wore her down and in this book she gives him a second chance. Unfortunately Ashley's hard won independence doesn't allow her to let him in too far. Quinton interferes with her plans for the future. The chemistry is phenomenal, but her independence is more important than having the love of a man......right.......
Fortunately for her, Quinton's not the kind of man to let a small road block, like Ashley, get in the way. Once he put's his focus on obtaining something, nothing get's in the way and right now he's set on having Ashley Miles and not just for one night, but forever..

The back cover of the book is torn off, the front cover is in tact but for some reason the back is not. I received from a friend.
A fun writer!
Good Book. I love all her stuff
Great romantic novel, just spicy enough!
I never miss a Lori Foster book!
Nothing ever seems to go right, or does it? Fun and entertaining reading.
Lori Foster did it again...I love the way she writes
I really enjoyed this book. I'm not usually one for a romance novel, but this wasn't your usual romance novel. A young woman named Ashley meets a man named Quinton. She tries not to let her relationship with him interfere in her plans for her life, but it just doesn't work out that way. I would love to read more by this author.
Smart, sexy, engaging charaters, sizzling pages. Good read!!
