This is a great begining to an interesting series. It is well written so it moves right along. It is great if your looking for a light read.
Great Book, actually started with the most recent one, need something quick to take on a trip.. liked it.. so got this one to start at the beginning of the series..
Quick action, Shepard does a great job of filling in the history as part of the ongoing story, instead of giving you several chapeters or boring filler history.

Was a good read. I finished it quickly,then,picked the next in the series.
I've only read the first book in this series, but it appears the heroine emulates other strong female leads in compelling military sci-fi. I've already ordered books two through four.
