Helpful Score: 2
I enjoyed the mystery plot a lot and the pace was pretty fast too.
*there were two things that annoyed me about this book (neither of which has to do with the plot)
1- there are no contractions used, which is just odd and made some of the dialogue seem stiff and weird
2- towards the end of the book, there are two pages all about forget me nots, which play no part in the story. It's just there!

This book, copyrighted 2005, was published by Alabaster Books. Later republished by Worldwide in 2009 with a slightly different title: Hummingbird Falls (An Ellie Hastings Mystery). I was a bit confused by the difference in titles, wondering if this book "The Mysteries of Hummingbird Falls" was actually two books in one, but it is just the first book in the series.
