A quintessentially british crime novel, beautifully crafted and filled with interesting characters. In the mode of Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers and the golden age of British mystery.
Written in 1930.
I really enjoyed this book even though it was a little hard to follow the British (slang) dialect. If you like British country mysteries, this a great choice.
One of the better earlier Campions. Nice fantastic plot with lots of eccentric characters. It was fun from beginning to end.
