There are books you read and simply enjoy. And then, there are books you love. I loved Naked Edge. Kat & Gabe felt real and alive to me. They are a couple with seemingly opposing perspectives on life, love, sex but really they are not, they just come from different life experiences. By book's end you will recognize two amazingly good souls and feel rejuvenated by the impact love can have.
I read alot of romance, in all sub-genres, and I don't come across a book that bowls me over often but this book did. Everything from the well-plotted mystery, to the pacing of the love story, the Native American backdrop, all worked together beautifully. Ladies who are looking for a hero to swoon over will find one in Gabe.
This is my first Pamela Clare book so I cannot compare it to any of the I-Team books that preceded it but if they come even remotely close to the caliber of writing as Naked Edge, I'm in for a treat.
A+

Considering this book featured a heroine who is a reporter, something I usually despise, I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I think both characters had flaws that made their confrontations seem believable. Would have given it 5 stars but for a few minor things that are personal turn offs.
When law enforcement raids a sweat lodge ceremony on land that is considered sacred, Navajo journalist Katherine James wants to find out the reason behind it. Park Ranger Gabe Rossiter is appalled by the behavior of the police and decides to help Kat get to the bottom of the situation. When a Tribal Elder is murdered and Kat becomes the target of a killer, Gabe will do anything to keep her safe from the people who want to keep Native Americans off of their sacred land.
I totally loved Kat & Gabe and thought they were a great couple. The mystery story was interesting, but it was the romance that kept be glued. The only drawback for me was there was a little too much Native American lure for me. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

really good
Wasn't my favorite of the set so far. But it was a page turner.
Loved it!! Lots of action, mystery and romance!
Book four of the I-team series doesn't disappoint. This time, reporter Kat James and Ranger Gabe Rossiter are drawn together when he saves her life. Months later they meet again when police interrupt a Native American religious ceremony. While there's an instant attraction, she wants a someone ready for a commitment and he has given up on love.
Like the rest of the series, Naked Edge has great characters paired with lots of steamy love scenes. If you liked the other books in the series, you'll love this one as well.
