Early Romance novella, by MJD. Young, blonde, gorgeous Stephanie does a favor for her Guardian, and shows Erik a new office suite. Erik has been hurt in the past, thinks poorly of all women, and automatically thinks the worst of Stephanie. Misunderstandings ensue. There's a long tragic story regarding how Steph was raised in the care of a Guardian. The book has the feisty, quick-tongued female character we've come to expect from MJD. Not a bad story, but does feel like an early novel. Very sweet, with the expected HEA.
