After reading this, I knew I was a true Martinez fan. This book is a great read, flows really well and pulls you along. It also has true depth that doesn't always come from such an easy read. Highly recommended, along with the rest of his books.

It includes a witch without a name, a vampire swan familiar, a war, a white knight and so much more. All the normal cliches get thrown into a jar and shaken up.

I was looking for a new author so I decided to give Martinez a try and I'm very glad I did. He really brings his characters to life. His writing is fun & quirky just what I was looking for. I also have Monster & Gil's All Fright Diner but haven't read them yet but can't wait to. I would definetly recommend this book if your wanting something entertaining & unusual. A fast & fun read.

Very enjoyable. There's some very witty writing, imagination and it's a gentle read, which is the best way I can describe it. He has a gift for making odd, amusing and creative characters.

This book was really great, the characters were awesome, it was so much fun to read I just couldn't put it down. It was funny in a way that a lot of other witch books aren't. At the beggining of the book you already find yourself cheering for the characters.

There's never a great deal of suspence, or drama, but it's entertaining with humor and a quirky once-upon-a-time style of fairytale "voice" to the writing. If you want a humorous story that's sweet with little angst, you'll enjoy this book.
