This was the first book I've read by this author. It's hard to say if I really liked it or not. There were parts I thought were very good, and other parts where it left me saying, "Come on. Really? Is that even realistic?" To me, the endinig left something to be desired. On a 1 to 10 scale, I would give it a 6.

Good, solid mystery/thriller whose plot leaves you guessing. If you like Mary Higgins Clark or Wendi Corsi Staub, you'll like this book!

Excellent book! If you like Mary Higgens clark, and Marlene Thompson, you will love this! Keeps you on the edge of the seat & up all night reading!

Interesting heroine and neighborhood situation - who is taking the nannies and why?? Brave single mom Zoe Hayes tries to unravel the mystery. Fast-paced and full of action.

This is a new author for me. Written almost 3 years ago, it is also her debut novel. I won't give away the plot but I can tell you it is a real page turner, filled with lots of twists and turns. This book is a very fast read, with a surprise ending. You could read it in a few hours, making it perfect for a plane, beach or poolside. It is also the first book in a series. I am looking forward to reading more by this author. If you like Mary Higgins Clark, you will enjoy Merry Jones.

I really enjoyed this story. Lots of surprises and hard to guess who the murderer could be.

This is Jones's first book - good, easy read. Entertaining but not a great thriller.

The story held my interest all the way through the book. Great murder mystery.
Very boring and I had to work exceptionally hard to keep my head in the game, but the very end was quite creepy and almost had me wanting to give the book a higher rating.
Zoe Hayes, the lead character, lives in an upper class close-knit Philadelphia neighborhood where the local nannies begin to disappear. Zoe, an art therapist in a mental hospital, and her daughter are quickly thrown into the foray when Molly finds a human finger in the snow and with this clue, Zoe knows that the serial killer has to be one of her neighbors.
I know a huge jump in the storyline, but pretty much this is how it happened. Of course, you have to throw in the police detective that will make their lives complete and then when the killer is found and the trumpets blare they will all live happily ever after. Unfortunately, that is where the creepy part comes in. When your mom works in an institute for the seriously deranged, part of her work might come home with her and a Steven King-esque twist appears just when you were not expecting it.

Very well written. I had about 3 guesses and still didn't figure it out. I'm wishing for the others in the series now. ;-)
