This exhaustive (meaning it exhausted me) biography of C.S. Lewis reads like a college text book. The kiddies won't be able to push through the first chapter. If you're up for a heavy read, however, this book gives a very detailed account of his entire life, from childhood to death. I think a lot of his fans will be greatly surprised at parts of his life that are not generally published. I confess I skimmed through long passages regarding styles of writing and philosophy and such, and never actually made it to the end of the book.
