I expected a collection of ghost stories from the oral tradition of various tribes, passed on faithfully.
I think there were some of those, but some came straight out of the heads of the authors, I think. That bothers me. But honestly, I'm not sure if that's the case, except one story that's set in the early 2000's that just doesn't belong in the collection.
Highlights of the book include the following stories:
The Return of Only Daughter
Heavy Collar and the Ghost Woman
Chase of the Severed Head
The Madness of Mocking Crow
I think those all come from genuine stories from various tribes, and they all have a real ghost punch to them.
