This is a strange little book. As it ended, I double checked to make sure I was at the end of the pages; I felt sure there was more to come. I enjoyed it, just would've enjoyed it more if there was more to the story. It was a very easy read.
Intelligent, imaginative, sexy, sidesplittingly funny, and like nothing else. A bawdy Chaucer tale... Ramonda Drottoven, an albino, is a chambermaid at a lush Italian estate. Distinguised by the intoxicating scent she exudes, Ramona is despised by all women and adored by all men. , whose inexhaustible lust she eagerly satisfied.
The idea of a hateful and hideous looking woman bearing a scent that brings any man to his knees and causes him to do whatever it takes for a mere glance from the woman, could make for a very comical tale. And although this story had its moments, the plot and characters (one of which is a main character) were too underdeveloped for me to give this anything higher than 2.5 stars.
