When I realized this series did not continue with Sara (from the prequel) I was a little disappointed. Danger in the Shadows was a great read! However, this author has a talent for writing likeable, realistic characters. I enjoyed this book and loved getting to know Dave (from the prequel) better. I am excited to meet the rest of the O'Malley Clan as I continue the series. Being a christian series, there was obviously talk of God in the book. It was nice not to have to worry about bad language. Overall, a great series so far!

This series has been wonderful. Only the last one left to read. The fifth one was a tearjerker...but love the characters, the Christian ethics, and the page turning quality of Henderson's writing.

This was a great book. Suspense, faith, and a bit of romance but not the sickly sticky fake romance some books have. The heroine was tough, smart, and independent. But not unrealistic.

I have quickly become a fan of Dee Henderson, she has just the right touch of in what is essentially a good suspense, and romantic story. I couldn't put this down, read on it every chance I got till I finished it. I didn't realize there was a prequel, 'Danger in the Shadows', so now I"m waiting on that one to read it then I'm planning on reading the whole series, I have about 3 of them on their way to me as I write this. This is a good book, I recommend it highly, enjoy!!

I didn't realize this was a Christian thriller until I got a few pages into it.
The plot looked like it would be good and the romance was well-put together, but I simply couldn't finish it.

Love this WHOLE series!! I love how they learn to work it out. Life takes work and not just sugar coating. But there is Love and Hope in this book that helps with the Challenges! And there is a constant small thread that includes Jesus's strength and Love! This Series is a Great Read that is a page turner too boot!!

The Negotiator is a great book. If you enjoy getting lost in the character, you will really love Kate. The book is well written, I had trouble laying it down. I got the other books in the O'Malley series and read them all.

If you're looking for a thriller with the perfect blend of romance and suspense, this is it? Kate O'Malley's specialty is hostage situations - defusing human time bombs before they go off. People die if she fails. She's never met a case she wouldn't jump into - but a relationship with a Christian man? That's another story!

Wonderful book and great story. It is a very intense suspense. I love Kate O'Malley, she is just a great person and makes you feel like her story is happening. She is a strong woman who has had alot of bad things happen to her in her life but overcomes them and has a new "family". Dee Henderson is a great author and spiritually lifts you up.
Story is about a police negotiator named Kate O'Malley. She and six others from an orphanage make their name, O'Malley, and become their own family. Her life changes big time when she meets a potential bomber, Henry Lott, and FBI Special Agent Dave Richman. A mix of crime drama and romance.

This was a fast-paced, fun thriller. The author definitely has a religious agenda, but she also seems very kind and gentle in sharing her faith and hope.
One of my all-time favorites! Danger in the Shadows is the prequel to this. It's not necessary to read it first but it's a great book as well.

After reading the Negotiator (book 1 in the OMalley Series), I became a huge fan of Dee Henderson. If you enjoy Christian Romance Suspense, you will love the Negotiator.

I love this series! This is my second time reading them. Kate O'Malley is a negotiator for the Chicago Police Dept. She is sent into a bank to negotiate with a man who is willing to blow himself, his hostages and the bank to bits. Inside is an FBI agent, named Dave Richmond, who ends up helping her to defuse the bomb. They fall in love but Kate is hesitant because they are both in law enforcement and Dave is hesistant because she isn't a believer. Dave faith is very important to him and wants a lifetime partner who believes. Kate has her adopted family surrounding her when circumstances get very sticky for her as well as Dave, who gets deeply involved with both her, her situation and her family. A must read!
When I picked this book up at the library sale, I had no idea anything about it or the author, but I have to say I found it easy to read and I really enjoyed it, there are zero swear words and no sex, but still very good!!! I am looking forward to reading all of the books in this series and hope they are just as good!

Dee Henderson is an amazing author! Her books keep you guessing and are hard to put down. Her characters turn into friends you want to hang around with. Their lives and jobs are realistic. She has become one of my favorites!
