I enjoyed Nellie the Brave very much and recommend it. I had recently read Lizzie and the Redcoat but enjoyed Nellie much more. I believe they are by different authors and would definitely read more by Veda Jones Boyd. It had a good story line and liked the way the Nellie dealt with events. It was more descriptive and personal and the author did a good job.

This is the story of one girl's journey and her reaction to the events on the trail to their new home. Nellie's family has accepted the Christian faith and the story shares how her faith is affected by the move and the events that unfold.
