Hmmmm...this is the second novel I've read by Ms. Francine Craft and it just didn't move me. Ms. Craft, does very well with the descriptive imagery of the town, Crystal Lake and all the other surrounding cities/towns visited throughout the novel are excellently portrayed. And the storyline had potential, but the writing style isn't very engaging. I also felt the characters were more or less cardboard cut-outs, they just didn't have enough depth to hold my attention and make me feel anything for them. The love scenes are just luke warm and the dialogue between the characters seems forced and unrealistic. Who talks like this?!! It had some romantic and endearing moments, but I just didn't get swept away, like I had hoped. This was an unfulfilling read for me!

And will he allow Helena to continue to come between them, threatening everything Theda's always wanted?
Francine Craft has created a beautiful romance between two very real people facing some of life's most difficult challenges. Throughout their struggles, they are loving and intimate, while also feeling all their feelings around their problems, and being honest with each other. The decisions they must make aren't easy ones, and the reader can empathize with their situation while cheering them on to make the right one. This is a heartwarming story, and I enjoyed reading it.
