I Never Liked You is more like graphic short stories than a graphic novel. The stories (or rather vignettes) are memories from the author's difficult teenage years. Though many of the emotions and feelings of insecurity ring true, I thought some of the stories were too short and didn't really tell a full story. I Never Liked You is touching in places however, and will appeal to teenagers who are not in the "popular" crowd at school.
